Frequently asked

The questions families ask us most.

In most cases we can start within 24-48 hours of your consultation. For urgent discharges we've been able to have a caregiver at the home the same day, though a same-day start depends on caregiver availability in your county.
Every caregiver is a W-2 employee of the practice. We handle payroll taxes, workers' compensation, professional liability insurance and benefits. You never have the tax exposure or risk that comes with hiring privately.
A Registered Nurse (RN) has a 2- to 4-year degree and can handle complex clinical care, IVs and case management. A Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) has 12-18 months of training and can administer medication and do wound care. A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) provides hands-on personal care and companionship. Your care plan will mix these based on need.
Yes. We accept and file all major long-term-care insurance policies, VA Aid & Attendance benefits, and New Jersey Regional Center funding where applicable. We handle the paperwork so you don't have to.
Our operations team maintains a backup roster in every region. In the rare case of a call-out we've committed to a 90-minute maximum response time, and a substitute caregiver is briefed by phone before they arrive at your home.
Absolutely - and we encourage it. A pre-start meet-and-greet is included in every engagement. If the fit isn't right, we introduce another caregiver at no charge.
We currently serve seven counties across central and northern New Jersey - Hunterdon, Somerset, Warren, Morris, Mercer, Middlesex and Union. Our contact page shows a full list. If you're outside our service area, we're happy to refer you to a trusted partner agency.
